HackLink - How to Use Overview
Use HackLink to create shortcuts to your favorite Hacks.
Normally, when you wish to manage one of your Hacks' configuration forms,
you have to open your Hack Manager first.
After creating a shortcut to the Hack, you will be able to directly open the
Hack's configuration dialog from within your Application Launcher, as if it
was a normal application.
How to use
To create a shortcut:
Select one of the Hacks from the Available Hacks list and tap Create
Shortcut.
Tapping the shortcut from your launcher will open the Hack's configuration
form.
Tap Delete Shortcut to delete the shortcut from your launcher; this
will NOT delete the Hack itself.
When a Hack has a shortcut, an Arrow icon will appear before the Hack's
name in the list.
WARNING
- Each shortcut you create for a specific Hack, shares the same Creator
ID with the Hack itself.
Deleting the shortcut using your launcher will also delete the Hack.
- If the Hack is enabled in your Hack Manager, you will receive an error
message when trying to delete the shortcut; the shortcut will be deleted
but the Hack itself will remain on your device.
- Deleting the shortcut from your launcher (regardless if the Hack is
enabled or disabled), will delete all files and preferences of that Hack,
ALL, but the Hack file itself.
You can lose your registration keys and settings if you delete a shortcut
using your launcher.
- To sum it all up: ALWAYS delete a shortcut from within HackLink.
NOTE
HackLink is NOT a Hack Manager.
HackLink only creates shortcuts to your Hacks.
There are several good Hack Managers available:
HackMaster,
YAHM,
X-Master,
TealMaster and
EvPlugBase.
- After you have created the shortcuts, the software itself (HackLink)
may be deleted from your device.
